Registering a record-equalling 13th Premier League home win of the season would be an encouraging indicator of Everton’s progress, says Blues boss Ronald Koeman.
After two successive 11th-placed finishes, Everton can confirm a top-seven spot by beating league leaders Chelsea on Sunday and reach the same total of Goodison victories achieved in 2013/14.
The Toffees have not bettered that number since 1989/90, when 14 home wins were secured.
Everton have won eight straight Goodison games since the turn of the year and, while Koeman understands his side face possibly their toughest test yet on Sunday, he is optimistic the run can continue.
